How do Affiliate Programs Work?

ClickBank is the 3rd party company that handles all of our credit card transactions as well as our affiliate program tracking for our E-Goods.  All commission checks are mailed out by ClickBank.  In order to promote any of the E-Products from animal-kingdom-workouts.com, you must first become a ClickBank affiliate.

How to become a ClickBank Affiliate

It's really easy and it's free.  Simply CLICK HERE to sign up.  On the sign up page, fill in your personal details and pick your own special account name (also called a clickbank "nickname").  Once you've done this, you'll be able to start collecting 75% commissions from every sale that is referred from your website.  You do this through special affiliate "hoplinks".

How to find my Product

One you do this, you will want to find my product in the ClickBank marketplace.  To do this, click here to go to the marketplace.  Then, do a  search with the Category set to "Health and Fitness", sub-Category set to "diet", and put in "animal" as the keyword.  Next, click on the blue "create a hoplink" option to create a hoplink.

What's a Hoplink?

A hoplink is a link to animal-kingdom-workouts that contains you clickbank information.  It is how clickbank knows which sales from my site are the result of your customer referrals.  Put another way, it's how you get paid.  So, make sure you set up your hoplinks correctly.

How to Set Up a Hoplink

The current standard clickbank hoplink format is this:

http://xxxxxxx.vendor.hop.clickbank.net

So, if you wanted to create a hoplink to sell "Lose Weight Without Dieting", you would replace "vendor" with my nickname, which is bilbo76,  and the xxxxxxx with your nickname.  Your hoplink would look like this:

http://yourClickBankID.bilbo76.hop.clickbank.net

That's really all there is to it

Now, if someone clicks on your hoplink, they'll come to my site and a 60 day cookie will be placed on it.  This means that if someone makes a purchase, but they do it 30 days after clicking on your hoplink, you'll still make your commission.  Not bad, eh?  (Sorry, I'm Canadian).

One last suggestion

If you are using hoplinks on your website, it is best to use a display URL, rather than the actual url of the hoplink itself.  This means turning a phrase like "Best Weight Loss Program" into a hyperlink with the hoplink URL, rather than displaying the hoplink URL on the page.  This would look something like this:

<a href="http://yourClickBankID.bilbo76.hop.clickbank.net/" target="_top">Best Weight Loss Program</a> 

Studies have shown that when people believe they are being sold something on a commission basis, they are less likely to click.
