Learn the Bicep Exercises of the Animal Kingdom

When most people think of bicep exercises, they think of movements like bicep curls using free weights. However, these kinds of exercises are completely un-natural and un-animal like. Humans evolved over thousands of years (just like animals in the wild) training their entire body using nothing but their own bodyweight. If you want to develop natural, powerful strength, as opposed to the phony, puffed up arms of the bodybuilder, you need an exercise that will not only train your biceps, but your entire body as well.

Beyond regular Pushups

Natural Bicep Exercises - The PushUpOne of the best natural arm exercises that you can do are one leg in the air pushups. These will work you entire arm (not just your biceps) as well as your shoulders. These kinds of pushups are about as close as you can get to doing a one-armed pushup without actually doing them. This is definitely an advanced exercise. However, when you can do them, you know you are making progress.

Follow These Steps to Perform One Leg In the Air Pushups
  1. Start with your hands on the floor and your arms extended. They should be about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Your feet should be together.
  3. The starting position is like that of a regular pushup.
  4. Lift your left leg in the air and turn the right side of your body downward as you lower your right side towards the floor.
  5. Push yourself back up.
  6. Lift your right leg in the air and repeat with the left arm.
  7. Inhale as you lower yourself. Exhale as you come back to the starting position.
  8. Do as many repetitions as you can.
